Interior design for an apartment in Gdansk, 90m2.

The design was inspired by music, a great passion of the apartment’s owner. The interior, designed around the main axis of the meeting space and the piano, features elements relating to musical composition. Warm oak with a matt finish constitues wider surfaces, confronted with stronger, linear accents.

The walls were slightly cut at their bases to allow for installation of black matt C-shaped steel sections instead of typical baseboards, adding to the interior’s general feel of lightness. Simple lighting points were confronted with the interior’s balance point: an author’s design of the ceiling lamp composed of three brass horns.

The entire space, vibrating with jazz music, is complemented by a translucent wall made of glass bricks, situated between the kitchen standing and hanging cabinets, allowing the daylight to pass into a dark corridor leading to the bedroom.
